longest trip ever. Part III

Final part of my trip. (Finally)
So Day 9 would be my favourite day of all.
"Why?"
Well, simply to put it,
Sound of Music.
Sound of friggin Music.
Salzburg of Austria.
The land of SOUND OF MUSIC and Mozart.
THE MOVIE THAT I'VE BEEN OBSESSED WITH EVER SINCE KINDERGARTEN,
IS FILMED THERE.

All of the magic is (partially) filmed at this garden.

This is what I saw.
And that is where they were.

THIS WAS THE PLACE WHERE THEY SANG DO-RE-MI.

JUST LOOK AT THE SKY. ITS ENOUGH TO CONVINCE YOU ITS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE.

DO YOU SEE WHY I AM SO OBSESSED?
If you go watch the movie, its so much prettier cause its in spring.

This is what I saw.

And that was where they were.

How can you deny that this place is gorgeous?

On the way to Mozart's house.

Even McDonalds has fancier signs than anyone else.

Mozart's house.

Day 10.
During this day, we just visited the Swarovski museum and went to Germany BMW museum.

So when we got to the Swarovski museum, turns out it was snowing!
But not heavy snow.
But enough to make your teeth clatter.

Soon after that we headed off to Germany.
I expected the BMW tour to be kinda boring, but to my surprise, I was quite fascinated. Especially the older models attracted my attention. For instance, this.

So since BMW now owns Rolls Royce, they also had a limited time exhibition of rare Rolls Royce.
Quite a lot of them are owned by private owners or royal families and are willing to exhibit them here. Some of them are like the only Rolls Royce in the entire world. Ermaigawd.

And so, we left the museum to a wonderful view.

We were actually on our way to our dinner place. However our tour guide took us to a location which wasn't on our schedule which was a palace. When we entered, we were all like "ooooooooh". Not because of the palace though. But because of the HUGE lake/pond (I dunno) in front of the palace. In the end the spotlight was on the pond instead of the palace. Hehe.

JUST LOOK AT DAT CLOUD. DOESN'T IT LOOK LIKE A PAINTING??

And for me, it was a completely exciting and new experience cause we hardly ever have the opportunity to be so close to swans. Or heck, how often do you even see swans in Malaysia?

There was a couple with a bag of cake pieces and so I asked for some from them without any second question. AND I FED A GOOOOOOSE. FUCK YEAAAAAHH. They are huge.

But let me tell you a sad story (in my opinion). After we were at the pond, we were about to head back to the bus. Then we saw these two swans swimming at the other side of the pond, so I though: "Hey! Our bus is close by, I'll grab some biscuits from my bag and feed some to them!" And so I did. I put a piece on my hand, and the swan friggin bit my fingers. I was like AWWWW SHIEEET, and everyone behind me were laughing. FML. And so, I ended up with a muddy and painful hand. Then I was just pissed and I threw the rest of my biscuits into the pond and they at it.
Sigh.

I won't forget you. EVER.

Yeah and that was how Day 10 ended for me.

Day 11.
Nothing much really. We had a lot of time to chill at our airport hotel really. Me and Qian were so bored to the point that we just went out of the hotel loitering around picking random berries, walking around the car park, walking around some empty field and then went back in and watched TV.

So after much resting in the hotel, we headed off to a nearby city for a free-and-easy session. we had 5 hours of shopping. This was the torturous part for me and Qian.

1. We weren't allowed to leave her mum's side.
All she did was going on a shopping spree at branded shops, so me and Qian had to wait for her outside of the shop in the cold sulking. Here's the story. She entered a department store and so me and Qian tagged along. We waited for her in the store for nearly 30 minutes and she was no where to be seen from where we were sitting on the floor. So we decided to sneak out quickly to look around the town for food and snacks. Well, its Germany after all. Goose liver (Qian's fav), pork sausages, AWESOME BAGELS AND PRETZELS. So we practically dashed out of the store and went to look for some food. We quickly bought a pretzel and went back to the store.
Bam. We were busted. Her mum was standing in front of the store furious and scolding us. Sigh. Well personally I know what we did was wrong, but I think it was worth it. Or else we wouldn't have been able to taste that awesome pretzel. Yep that was the only activity that we were able to enjoy my ourselves on that day.

2. Somehow some people in Germany hates Asians? (or people who don't speak German in general)
After my trip was over, I talked about my experience in Germany to my cousin brother who learns and knows how to speak German. He then told me that people in Germany dislikes people who don't speak German somehow. This is the story. After 4 hours plus, it was nearly time for the whole tour to gather up at the bus. Since my aunt was pretty much done with shopping, we decided to get into a nice cafe to have a cup of coffee instead of waiting in the cold for the bus. We weren't seated so we seated ourselves. A waitress just simply gave us our menu. We decided on what we wanted to drink, so I raised my hand up to ask for an order. I SWEAR. I saw the waitress saw me raising up my hand. We even had eye contact, and she just ignored me and averted her eyes. Then we just decided to raise all 3 of our hands to get her attention. That way she would have no choice but to take our order.

3. It was freezing cold.
I didn't have enough warm clothes together with me, so during that day I ended up wearing what I wore when we flew from KL to Dubai.

Yeah.
So we pretty much ended our tour with a somewhat bitter experience.
We headed off to the airport and off we flew to Dubai.
And from Dubai safe and soundly back to KL.

I have to say even though most of the countries I've visited in those past few days, had never ever crossed my mind about visiting, I've found this trip to be quite fun. Wish there'd be a day when I save up enough to fly to London. I'd love that.
