food adventure #1

A few days ago we decided that we'd all go to Bangsar to try out food that has been talked about on the internet like FOREVER. I've been to Bangsar for all my life, and yet I've never got the chance to go around Telawi Square area. So after 2 classes in the morning, me Evonne and Jas drove off at 1 pm, While Christine, Flo and Emily went to the KTM station cause my car couldn't fit so many people and since Flo has claustrophobia. So when we reached Bangsar in about 45 minutes, it was pretty hard to look for parking spaces at Jalan Telawi so I just ended up parking in Bangsar Village. Then we just headed off to Antipodean to meet up with Flo them all.

So, first impression of Antipodean.
Pretty neat and casual environment, friendly service and I like it that their menu is all written on the wall nice and clearly. So we ordered 4 items in total to share since we planned on eating lots of other stuff around Bangsar. We had Egg's Bennedict w/ bacon, Carbonara Cheese w/ Spinach pasta, a breakfast set and a pancake of some sort.

Next stop, dip n dip.
 This glorious creation.
 Excitement for CHOCOLAAAAAATE.

Again, I still do not understand why does my camera make pictures look so fucking photoshopped. When we got in, it was pretty much nearly full. With our luck, there was the one and only 6 seats left.

Next off we got to Inside Scoop which was a few shops next to dip n dip. The interior is super pretty. When you enter you see tons of polaroids hanging on the wall. Seems like Boey once visited the shop before. His little doodle of his work was hung up amongst the sea of polaroids. On the opposite wall was a whole lot of scribbles and doodles on glass. The moment you step into their shop you can already smell the scent of durian ice cream. HAHAHA. They also have other really special flavours like cendol.

We got 2 premium flavours. One peanut butter, and the other was something something chocolate. The chocolate one is definitely a must try. It isn't completely sweet, has a hint of cocoa taste since it was made out of 80% pure cocoa. Best way to describe it is that it taste like hot chocolate that is cold.

My face looks humongous and I look like an idiot FML.

Then after that we planned on getting coffee from Coffea Coffee but we thought that it wouldn't hurt to go there a little later. But boy were we wrong, it started raining sigh. So basically we hung out at Inside Scoop for a little more then waited for the rain to calm down a little and yeah basically we were running across roads just to go window shopping for clothes. Everything's so expensive omg. After a few shops, we went to Telawi Square and OMG. I finally get to see number76 in person. The interior is really pretty. I just told myself that I HAD to do something with my hair at number76 at least once in my life. Okay after much running around in the rain it was nearly 6? So we headed off to Bangsar Village to get dinner. We went to Marmalade and the interior was really pretty too.

 Pesto pasta.

Also beef lasagne and caesar salad? The lasagne was pretty good even though I'm not supposed to eat beef. Oops.

 Social media addicts.

 Interior.

Yeah then we pretty much left Bangsar Village at around 7 and I dropped the 3 of them at the nearest KTM, went through a lot of traffic jam and finally reached back on campus at around 8:30pm.

Then around 10pm-ish Evonne and Jas came over my room again to chit chat and Jas said she was hungry so we cooked instant noodles in my room. FML. And I always keep complaining that I can't lose weight. Then lots of crazy gossip was happening and we ended up sleeping at 1am again.
I need help.

Dis bitch took a candid shot of meh.
